Filtration
FRI self-cleaning internal rotary filter
The FRI Internal Rotary Filter is designed to filter large volumes of dust-laden air containing textile fibres and/or other waste materials.
The unit features a modular structure made of sheet metal and steel tubular sections, housing a cylindrical filter media. Dust-laden air enters through the inlet and passes through the filter media from the inside to the outside, where dust and waste particles are retained, delivering perfectly clean air.
Depending on the type of material being processed and the airflow rate, the filter media can be made of felt, synthetic fur or other technical materials. A rotating suction nozzle system continuously cleans the filter surface by rotating around the central shaft while moving horizontally across the full width of the filter media. The combined rotary and translational movement ensures complete cleaning of the entire filtering surface, maintaining high filtration efficiency and extending the service life of the filter media.
Thanks to its efficiency, the filter can also operate without an enclosing housing, as the discharged air is completely clean and free from impurities. A safety system continuously monitors the correct operation of the internal rotating assembly, while, for special applications, an optional air blowing system keeps the moving mechanisms clean, ensuring maximum operating reliability.
The FRI Internal Rotary Filter is available in three different diameters and several modular sizes for each diameter, allowing the system to be precisely matched to the required airflow capacity and the specific production process.
